Mishal & Co Cleaning was founded by Alison and Leonie – the “A” and “L” in Mishal – two women from different worlds brought together by shared values, hard work, and good timing.

Alison moved from the United States nearly twenty years ago; Leonie was born and raised in Victoria. Together, they built a brand grounded in trust, precision, and old-fashioned service values.

More than ten years on, they remain inseparable friends with one vision: to elevate cleaning into a luxury experience grounded in integrity and heart.
Alison brings deep expertise in project management, property management, WHS, and holds qualifications as a Water Restoration Technician (WRT) and in Applied Structural Drying (ASD). Her background ensures every service is delivered with longevity, compliance, and technical precision.

Leonie’s experience in property management and family business operations brings structure, empathy, and a natural attention to detail – essential in a business built on relationships.

Meet Alison Short – Co-Founder & Director

Alison Short brings more than a decade of experience across project management, property management, and workplace health and safety. Originally from the United States and now proudly calling Melbourne home, Alison is known for her calm leadership style, strong work ethic, and genuine care for both clients and staff.

She holds specialist certifications in Water Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD). This technical expertise allows her to approach cleaning and property care with a deeper understanding of maintenance, safety, and long-term asset protection.

Alison’s warm, hands-on approach is balanced by precision and professionalism. She believes in doing things properly the first time and maintaining clear, open communication with every client.
